Lords' Alliance Representatives Profession in Mythrite | World Anvil

Lords' Alliance Representatives

No group so raises as much consternation as the representatives of the Lord's Alliance, especially because they arrived with no fanfare and more than a whiff of secrecy. The social distance between the aristocrats and the commoners is wide enough that little information passes between them even regarding mundane matters, so the purpose of their arrival is shrouded in mystery. At least one representative from Waterdeep, Silverymoon, Neverwinter, and Baldur's Gate have been identified, and it's said that while they are not forthcoming about their affiliations, they will not lie about it when asked. However this makes many wonder how many among their ranks are among the upper-classes.   The most disconcerting part is their idleness. In a town where every inhabitant works themselves the bone, the Lords Alliance representatives never seem to do anything, besides watch. What messages do the couriers bring to Charmalaine? What news returns down the river? The biggest fear is that the Lords Alliance is biding its time until the mythril runs dry or a motherlode is uncovered. Should the latter occur, it is said that an army will arrive within days and drive the settlers from the town. With the small number of Caravan Guards and Town Guards as well as their penchant for accepting bribes, this possibility seems all too real.
