Kieran Khalid
Born in Waterdeep on the lands of an afluent half-elf family to a tenured live-in servant and his wife, Kieran spent his life in the stables tending to the horses. His meager wages were added to his father's suitable ones and used for family needs. Even so , he never went hungry, he always had cake on his birthday, new clothes when he needed them and parents who loved him dearly.
When his employer saw oppertunity in Mythrite, Kieran traveled along with a portion of the family as a servent and stableboy. Having never spent a night away from his birthplace it was quickly the furthest and longest he'd ever been from home.
A servant in a community of entrepreneurs and free spririted folk looking for opportunity, Kieran began to question his place in life. Despite watching weary miners return home every evening with nothing but charcoal and the poverty that plagued most of the population, he suddenly leaves his cushy station on Charlamaine hill to enlist in the town guard where he hoped to take some bribes, make some quick coin and find himself. Unfortunately, the overpopulated police force have no use for another unskilled teen and he's forced to enlist in the unsavory caravan guard for less pay and more danger but at least he has someplace to sleep.

History
After Galdar Rougash turned down Keiran from the town guard, Ascella accepted him as a member of her caravan guard. She became a mercenary at the age of 16, and Keiran reminds her of herself from that time and how everyone looked down on her as well. She took Keiran in as his mentor, and is tough on him in order to train him to be just as strong as the rest of her guards.
