Croix Sante grew up living a life of luxury. As the only heir to the prestigious Sante family, they rarely left their family home as a child, secluded from the world around them. They paid this little mind; as they grew up, they were attended to by their family's host of servants, and would interact with others their age when their family would host grand feasts, inviting the few other wealthy families in their small town south of the Star Mounts. Despite many suitable partners within their age group, they never took to any of the potential suitors their family introduced them to. "It'll come with time," their father's said. "They just need to meet the right person," their mother's posited.
Croix's striking eyes and hair were inherited from their mother, and their brown skin from their father, giving them a rather striking appearance. They can be seen walking about with a golden-painted cane (despite not requiring the usage of one). They typically dress in blacks, browns, and whites, opting for frills, stripes, and vests whenever possible. They'll either crouch down or get up on their tippy-toes depending on if they're speaking to someone shorter or taller than them, despite being told that this is actually quite rude. In general, it seems Croix is unaware of what is considered socially "acceptable," an issue certainly fostered by their cushy upbringing, though their parents and caregivers did their best to try and impart some sort of social awareness onto them.
Croix's interest in Mythrite is no secret; they're interested in making their way in a place they've got no control over. It would take the arrival of the Lords' Alliance for their parents to finally give their blessings to their child, more certain that they wouldn't be in any immediate danger with some sort of authority present in the boomtown. They approach anyone and everyone they can, asking all sorts of invasive and annoying questions; even when people express they'd rather not talk about certain things, it's clear that Croix doesn't care. Thusfar, their curiosity has simply ended in annoying almost every person they've encountered, but despite what some might think, they're very aware of when to bow out if one threatens to become dangerous. While they received basic self-defense training in their childhood (being the only heir to a wealthy family puts a large target on their head, after all), they're certainly not in good enough shape to handle any attacker who's slightly stronger than they are.
At the moment, Croix resides in Eronia, quite enjoying the views from their new home. They spend their mornings scoping out the tiny dots of people they can see moving about the town, wondering how people've been conducting their lives, and how they can insert themself most effectively into those lives. They've been specifically scoping out the other wealthy inhabitants of Mythrite for uncertain reasons; some claim they're looking for allies, others claim they're looking for blackmail. Whatever the case, Croix isn't about to reveal their true intentions quite yet, though perhaps if one manages to hold down a good conversation with them, they'll learn what's really causing the eccentric heir to tick.

Croix isn't particularly slim or fat; they're an "average" weight, all around, and they're certainly not in shape. (In fact, they've been seen out of breath getting up to their new home more than once.) They've relied on their family for a balanced diet for the past twenty-four years of their life, so it's very likely their health could change depending on how much they consider their dietary options.

Croix is purposefully very vague about their birth sex; they were lucky enough to have parents who didn't care when their child declared they had no interest in gendered objects or motivations. Their voice could easily be a deep woman's voice or a high-pitched man's; they have no visible breasts, but this could easily be achieved either through binding or some other procedure. Their personal opinion is that it's "none of anyone's business," especially since they don't see themself entering a relationship anytime soon. After all, the only person who should be concerned with what they've got "down there" is the person who's going to be looking at it.

They don't consider themself to be particularly vain; rather, this compulsion stems from wanting to be "properly presentable" to the world around them. (The reality is that they are fairly vain, but they certainly haven't listened when servants have told them that.)

Carmaya knows of the Sante family, and is interested in why their heir would have come to this town, though he has no active interest in seeking them out. Sante, on the other hand, thinks that Carmaya would be a strong ally to have, and actively seeks his attention (though they might change their tune if he keeps ignoring them for too much longer).

Huvrelbi sees Sante as a troublemaker who could potentially disrupt her attempts at keeping adolescents in order. Sante sees Huvrelbi as an "old fart" who is overly controlling of children in the town; something they have a personal dislike of.
