Lurentian Elf
The most human looking of the elves, and the most likely to be found in human cities, Lurentian elves, sometimes called Tower elves, have pale skin and dark to blonde hair. The ancestors of the Lurentian elves split from their kin during the Sarkhani conquest of old Thelassia, fleeing north to the Shadow Vale to escape the humans. The Lurentians founded their City of Towers in a clearing in the expansive forest. Surrounded on three sides by the imposing woods, they thought themselves safe.
The ambition of the Sarkhani knew no bounds, however, and in time they came to the Shadow Vale. Hopelessly outmatched, the Lurentians surrendered without much fight. Much less hostile to their conquerors than the Thelassians, the Tower elves spread throughout the empire as their prowess with arcane magic was highly valued.
