Sigam was born into a prominent Dwarven weapon-crafting family, however, when she was 15 her father was killed by the Orcs of the Colony of Fana.

Her interest in history, obvious intelligence, and aptitude for diplomacy caught the attention of senior staff members of the Crown Prince Khazar Tarazakh. They sponsored her entry into the college of heralds and adoption into Heraldry Clan of Asandril.
