Manor of Edaxe

History

Edaxe was founded around 550TR on an abandoned religious site used by the ancient Aleta tribes. It eventually became a fief in the small Kingdom of Edern. Clan Argont has held Edaxe since 652TR and remained in control when the Kingdom of Edern was absorbed into the growing Kingdom of Kanday.

Current Affairs

The current Lord, Tylen Argont, is a ward as he has no surviving family members. His mother died in childbirth, and his father in a border skirmish with the Company of the Copper Hook. Tylen's liege lord, Baron Tobrin Jevasa of Gimon, has assigned Sir Valin Haloren as acting lord and Bailiff.

Sir Valin appears to be a good choice; he is well-liked among the common folk and manages the fief well.

Notable Locations

Adaxe Manor

The manor compound consists mainly of a stone manorhouse protected by a 10-foot-high wall. It also has a large adjoining stable, a large kennel (not currently in use), and a blacksmith.

Peoni Chapel

The church has a small temple presided over by the arrogant Father Bannir.

The Three Sisters

Three 10-foot-tall rocks carved with ancient symbols are believed to be magical and tended by the druid Wilt, whose cottage is nearby.

The twin brother of the Lord of Tobur Manor.

A capable knight and an able administrator. He has caught the attention of the Baron of Gimon and the Earl of Sarkum and is likely destined for greater things.

Wilt of Edaxe, Holy man

Wilt, art by Playground
Wilt is a 110-year-old Uthriem Roliri Guardian and an Aenarin (Half-Elf). He watches over the Three Sisters and provides support and sanctuary to any Uthriem Roliri rangers operating in the southern half of the Ternu Heath.

A priest of Siem and Druid. He manages a small network of Siem worshipers in the barony but generally keeps a low profile. However, he despises the haughty Peonian Priest, Father Bannir. The men are not on speaking terms.

After many decades, he has learned to draw elemental energy from the three sisters and use it to enchant equipment for the Uthriem Roliri Rangers.

Father Bannir, Peonian Priest

He is an arrogant priest who finds this assignment to tend to the spiritual needs of a small village well beneath him. This former scholar believes he is destined for greater things, but it is rumored that his superiors in the Irreproachable Order sent him to Edaxe to learn humility.

The villagers tolerate him but he clashes with Wilt, who calls the druid "a relic of the past that has been best forgotten."
