Potion of Right

These thumb-sized black lozenges are produced from fanosel berries (a.k.a. Choke Berry). Once taken, it produces euphoria and delusions of grandeur which last several hours. It also reduces inhibitions. Afterwards, the user becomes depressed and irritable. It is highly addictive.
Benefits
The use makes Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, and Wisdom checks with a +d8 bonus. Melee attacks are made with a +d4 bonus, although AC is reduced by 1.
Duration
Onset is within 2d6+3 minutes and duration d6 +1 hrs.
After effects
The user gains 1 level of Exhaustion and must make a Wisdom saving throw DC 5 or suffer a permanent psychological effect.
Availability
Possession of fanosel berries or these lozenges is illegal in Kaldor, Melderyn, Chybisa, and Kanday. Punishment is typically a week in the stocks or forced labor or military service. Very few apothecaries have the knowledge to make them, and possession of a written recipe is often considered evidence of the worship of the evil god of assassins Naveh.

One lozenge dissolved in the mouth or in a glass of warm liquid. The lozenge will stain the mouth and tongue black.

Watcher’s Ale

Potion Uncommon

Watcher’s Ale makes the user extremely alert and unable to sleep for well over a day. These fine crystals are added to an alcohol and then drunk.

Benefits

After drinking the subjects has advantage on Perception checks. In addition, they cannot sleep and suffer no disadvantage for the loss of sleep. However, they can still benefit from short and long rests.

Duration

Imbibers constitution x 2 hours.

After effects

When the potion wears off, the user suffers one level of exhaustion. They must make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or fall asleep for 2d8 hours.

Excessive use of Watcher’s Ale typically causes users to have paranoia lose a significant amount of weight.

Base 90 days. Degrades slowly with a 1% chance of a side effect per 10 day week.

Eye-of-Dwarf

Potion Very Rare

Dwarven apothecaries produce a pale gold ointment, when applied to the human eyes will create a benign fungus infection. Once the fungi are established the human Iris becomes speckled with gold and the pupil gains a red tint. The fungi allow the host to see well into the infrared end of the spectrum.

Benefits

Over a period of 30 days after application, the user is able to detect infrared radiation as light, i.e. 60ft Darkvision.

Duration

30 days.

After effects

A second use of Eye-of-Dwarf creates a dependency on various minerals that are rare in the human diet. Eyesight will deteriorate over time. Every 10 days the user must make a DC10 Constitution saving throw. After 3 fails they will be effectively blind.

Eye-of-Elf halts degradation and will restore eyesight rapidly. Heal-All will cure the infection however it removes the Darkvison benefit as well.

Availability

Apothecaries, very rare outside the Kingdoms of Azadmere.

Shelf Life

Base 2 years. It is kept in well-sealed clay pots decorated with an eye drawing and degrades slowly with a 1% chance of a side effect per month.

Special section of fungi found only in the mines and mountains of the Kingdom of Azadmere.

Ulha's Oil

Potion Brain Stimulant Common

The oil is burnt and vapor inhaled.

Benefits

Within 2d6 minutes after taking the drug the user gains a 1d6 Intelligence increase.

Duration

The intelligence bonus lasts 1d3 hours.

After effects

The user must make a DC10 Constitution Saving throw or suffer a level in Exhaustion.

Apothecaries.

Base 3 months. It degrades rapidly with a 10% chance of a side effect per day.

Illegal in the Kingdom of Melderyn.

Eye-of-Elf

Potion Rare

A blue-green liquid that cures visual impairments. Applied by drops, twice per day for 5 days

Benefits

This potion cures damage to the eye from disease, cataracts, and minor injury. It will restore some vision from serious eye wounds.

Duration

Permanent.

After effects

On healthy eyes it will give a +1 Bonus to visual based Perception and Investigation checks for 24hr.

Apothecaries.

Base 6 months. It is stored in a well-sealed glass bottle, in the dark. It degrades rapidly with a 5% chance of a side effect per month.

The teranya plants preferably harvested in summer while.
