Men

Humans (also known as the race of Men) are perhaps the most prominent race in Mirydain. Humans have lived in Mirydain since the country was founded, and they dwell throughout the land from Gonnarch and Anglor in the west to Calidurn in the east and Ashad in the south. Most Humans live in villages throughout the country and some live in the Ten Cities and in the castle of Dinas Caradorn by the river Abhainach. The people in Calidurn live in cities in the desert while the dark-skinned Ashadrim live in the southernmost area of Mirydain in villages.   Humans are a peace-loving race, although they often fight among themselves and many desire to do their own will because not all Men are good. Despite this, many Humans in Mirydain are on good terms with the other free peoples of the land, and they have the ability to love and to choose between good and evil. Because the free Men of Mirydain desire to keep their freedom, the people of the Ten Cities rallied their forces to join the army that gathered to stand against the Dark King and his plan to conquer Mirydain and enslave the free peoples of the land. They were also driven by the hope of the prophecy the two children who will be King and Queen of Mirydain and unite them. After David McKay and Ginny Langford came to Mirydain and defeated the Dark King, they became High King and Queen of the land, and the free lands of Men were united.
