Lilins are flowers that grow in short bunches like dandelions. Their petals are white at maturity, but fade to gray when they die.

Lilins are wildflowers which are pollinated by bees every autumn to keep them thriving.
Life & Expiration
Lilins lose their consistency after about three years. When this happens, their white leaves fade to gray and their healing properties begin to die. When the third year is half over, the flowers are still usable but weak. Finally, the flowers die and lose their healing power.
History & Usage
History
The Elves first discovered the healing properties of the lilin plant, which they eventually passed on to Men, who initially used t as a spice. It was well-used by both Elves and Men, but Men did not understand how the flower kept them so healthy, for they took it for a spice. In 552 M.T., the Elves showed Men how the true purpose of lilins was medicinal and over the course of the 7th Century, Men learned to use it to make lilinbrew.
Everyday use
Lilins are grown in home gardens for pleasure, but are most commonly used in medicine.
Refinement
The lilin flower must be procured in a brew before its healing properties can be put to use. The flowers must be thrown whole into a hot brew which is then stirred and made to simmer for ten minutes and then taken off the fire until the brew is cool enough to drink.
