Dashoda

Overview

The Dashoda, otherwise known as The Shadows is the name that those of Mirsivna give to the previous inhabitants of the planet Orvzen. The name Dashoda means The Shadows as that is all that is known of them in the current times of the world. The Dashoda were human-like and lived on the surface of Orvzen when it was an earth-like world, and they departed when their future looked bleak due to Orvzen being flung from its star system.

General Background

The Dashoda once lived across the entire surface of Orvzen when it was formerly warm and green. They were human-like in build and needs, and once lived in sprawling metropolises and larger, with great towering steel and glass buildings, in addition to massive monuments and bridges that spanned the terrestrial continents.   They sustained themselves off of renewable energy, and were quite technologically advanced, having attained hydroponic gardening, meat synthesis, universal basic income for all, artificial gravity, and rather safe space travel. Their preffered method of transportation were elevated trains that ran in clear tubes under the ocean, or on tracks above and through cities with countless stops.   These great metropolises were left abandoned on the surface after the Dashoda's departure. They left everything they didn't need behind, but took everything they did need. To the god Mirsip and all those Mirsip brought forth, the Dashoda are a mystery, having left behind signage, texts, and technologies with unfamiliar languages and text.   And while Mirsip themself is familiar with the Dashoda, the Dashoda's realm of being is far beyond the reach of the people of Mirsivna.

Pieced Together History

What little is known of the Dashoda, was pieced together by Mirsip after they came into being, wandering through the empty world of Orvzen.   In their travels, Mirsip found that the Dashoda were not all united. While their buried infrastructures connected to each other, the remaining languages, textiles, build structures, and remaining art all changed with distance. There were at least 34 different peoples, who were all Dashoda, and who all appeared to have fought over both land and less physical things. The other things left from their departure, however, indicated that these many different Dashodan peoples came together in the end, save for the most ignorant, and worked together to depart.   The ignorant, however, remained along what at one time had been the equator in a fortified tower that was somehow powered by the ice and snow around it. That plan, however, ultimately failed the Dashodans who had stayed behind and within it. Mirsip thusly called it, Depsai otherwise known as The Tower of Despair, as it had ultimately entombed them for all eternity.   Out of all the mystery of the Dashoda, few things were officially certain about them culturally and these things were that many practiced religion, and cared deeply for their families and animals, and the overall well-being of those that lived on Orvzen.

Mysterious and interesting. How did they look like? What is left of them?   Does anyone know how the Tower of Despair was powered by ice and snow?
