Mirsivna

Overview

Mirsivna is a self-contained world and environment that exists within an energetic metaphysical bubble, which was made by Amengta, youngest child of the god Mirsip, who bound Mirsivna and thusly the works of her siblings together through her own love of her family and all they had made and would make.   Mirsivna itself exists in the southeastern regions of the Cotempah Ocean on the rogue planet, Orvzen.

General Overview

Mirsivna, otherwise known as Mirsip's Domain, came into being through the unconditional love that the goddess Amengta had for her parent, siblings, and the beautiful works they had already spun into being whether intentionally or not. Amengta essentially wove the world of Mirsivna into being, creating a dwelling place for both herself, her family, and those that she later brought forth, whom she called the Yerda.   As Mirsivna exists at the very bottom of the Yenin Trench in Orvzen's Cotempah Ocean, it naturally has no astronomical sun, moon, or stars, let alone the spherical shape typical of planets. Because of this, any of those that dwell within can run into literally what is known as the Edge of the World.   Mirsivna is perhaps best described as a large scale terrarium, rather than pocket dimension, as pocket dimension gives the impression of another universe in and of itself. All the elements in Mirsivna, however, are neither geologically active, nor globe in shape, as they fill Amengta's metaphysical construction like liquid in a glass.   While it has no sun, no axial tilt, nor rotation, Mirsivna has day and night, and even seasons due to Mirsip and their children. While deep below Orvzen's ocean, it has air, land, and its own self-contained sea and even a weather system. Because of this, it is a lovely home to both Mirsip's family and the Yerda.

Geographical Construction

Mirsivna consists of a single landmass surrounded by water for miles on all sides. The landmass itself is fairly simple with sandy shores rather than rocky ones, and verdant greenery. Overall, Mirsivna contains five oceans, a single mountain, one great freshwater river, which traverses the entirety of the landmass, a hilly region in the southwest, plains in its middle, and green woodlands in its northern half before its only mountain. Because of this, Mirsivna experiences no earthquakes or volcanic eruptions, but very well could if Mirsip or any of their children or demigod grandchildren were irked enough.

The Five Oceans

The fresh waters of Mirsivna were made by Ubel, son of Mirsip. When Amengta formed the Edge of the World and rose up land for her brother, Genir, Ubel's creation became the single sea of Mirsivna. This ocean became known as the Ubelan Waters.   After the passage of time, however, Ubel divided the sections of the sea between his five daughters, Temisri, Qualora, Eishta, Gwiella, and Shomori, but continued to comand the waters of Mirsivna and rule over them, preventing them from destroying the Yerda with tsunamis, hurricanes, and their ilk for fear of angering his sister, Amengta, who had recognized Ubel's loneliness and raised him someone to love from the very fresh waters he had created.   Under the command of not only Ubel, but his daughters, the Ubelan Waters became split into five distinct seas all under the previous umbrella term; the Temisrian Sea, being the sea to the north that was subject to Temisri's rule and surrounded the Great Mountain, the Qualoran Sea to the Northwest, which was governed by Qualora, the Eishtan Sea to the west, which was governed by Eishta, the Gwiellan Sea to the southwest and near to the Mystic Hills which were ruled by Gwiella, and lastly the Shomorian Sea to the southeast, which bordered the plains of Mirsivna's landmass and was ruled by Shomori. These oceans, like the sisters that rule them have distinctly different behaviors and dispositions on any given day.

The Mystic Hills

The Mystic Hills, which lie in the southeastern portion of Mirsivna's landmass, are the domain of Mirsip's son, Uperl who had given magic to the world. Originally, the hills had been barren wastelands, but were risen as a result of Uperl's fight with his nephew, Vestan who had command over Mirsivna's wind. It is to the Mystic Hills that one goes if they are in search of magic.

The Amengtan Plains

The Amengtan Plains sit to the north and west of the Mystic Hills. This land is very much untouched by the idle whims and tantrums of Mirsip and their children and grandchildren, and remains as calm and verdantly beautiful as the day that Amengta first raised land out of the sea. This area is largely considered a safe-haven for the Yerda, who were made by Amengta, despite having been made in honor of her sister Crimsi, and brother Roang.

The Genirian Woodlands

The Genirian Woodlands were crafted out of Genir's joy at Amengta's gift of land and earth. They sit to the north of her plains and are ancient, verdant forests that are tended by his countless sons and daughters that often embody the nature that he brought forth. Unlike his brother Ubel, Genir never divided the woodlands amongst his children, and instead expected them all to tend the live that existed there and make new things grow.   For travellers, the woodlands can be kind if one has the favor of Genir and his children, or extremely terrifying if they have their ire.

The Great Mountain

The Great Mountain is the only mountain in all of Mirsivna and sits at the northmost point and reaches into the sky. It is the home of Mirsip, and was raised by they themself. Very few venture to the Great Mountain lest they seek Mirsip themselves, or any of the gods that dwell in the sky.

Day and Night Cycle

As Mirsivna exists within the deepest ocean trench of the rogue planet Orvzen, it has none of its own rotation, or astronomical day-night cycle. The light of day comes from Mirsip's son, Woyel and his own magic and powers. Amengta, however, took the light of his magic, which had washed everything out and contained it in a single burning magical orb that sits above the very center of Mirsivna's landmass, called the Woyelan Sun. Due to this, the sky itself is a very deep, dark ocean blue and appears to move, as that is the sight of Orvzen's ocean beyond the Edge of the World.   The night was artificially induced by Amengta and with the help of her brothers, Uperl and Ubel. Woyel, however, resisted and resented that Amengta turned his light from yellow to white with the help of their brother Thew to create the Thewyelan Moon. Because of this, the day and night cycle struggled, with some days and nights being longer or shorter due to disputes between the gods that shaped Mirsivna.   It was Mirsip's son, Veril who managed to reign in Woyel's disdain, and to strike a consistent balance between day and night, with each being 12 hours in length.   Because of the unorthodox manner in which day and night were formed, Mirsivna has no generic sunrise or sunset, let alone moonrise and moonset. The sun and moon are the same fixture, which transforms at a given time, but never moves.

Transition of Day to Night

When the day transitions to night, the first thing to change in Mirsivna is the color of the sky. It deepens in color and turns dark in a wave. The Woyelan Sun, however, refuses to change and remains as bright as it is during day time. Because of this, Thew often has to make the transformation complete himself, though Woyel resists every step of the way until morning comes and Thew leaves, allowing the moon to turn back into the sun.

Origin of the Stars

Mirsivna's stars, like its moon, are artificial. The stars themselves are physical fixtures of Thew's magical light, which Amengta took, formed into orbs, and placed into constellations to tell the story of her love for her family and the new world she had made. These constellations are not visible during the day, as they are drowned out by Woyel's light, but they are eternal fixtures of Mirsivna itself, suspended within its sky.   The first constellations Amengta arranged in the sky are The Mother, The Crystal, The Clouds, The Warrior, The Lovers, The Shining Sun, The Vines, The Shell, The Wind, and The Family.
