Bounding rituel

This neckless, dipped in your blood binds you to one another. Wear them all the time, never take them off. The crystal will take shape overtime, even change color.

History

Dwarves have an ancient costume that a couple shouldn't life together unless they are married. And because they are a majority inside the kingdom it got adapted by the other races. That is why the Dragons came up with this ritual. It looks a lot like the legend around Crystal bound, were the couple is connected to each other for life.   Only they needed to alter the ritual slightly, because the crystal neckless is not binding the couple. It those not give the holders each other strengths and weaknesses. But the dwarves accepted the ritual as a for of marriage, and are now preforming it themselves.

Execution

The ritual is preformed by the leader of the community, this can be the head of the household or the Dragon King themselves.   The leader of the community makes a cut in the hand of the couple and lay a pendant in the blood. While speaking some personal message to the couple. Then he takes the pendants and hangs them around their necks. Of course dipped in each other's blood. The couple is warned to never take the neckless off, because this can damage the relationship.

Components and tools

The ritual needs to have three components to work. A knife, cleaned of course. The two pendants to bind the couple together, and the couple's blood. Without one of these components the ritual is seen as a failed attempt and the couple in question is not bounded.

Participants

The leader of the community to lead the ritual, this can be the leader of their own household. It can be the Dragon King, but it needs to be a member with authority.   Then there is the couple, without them there would not be a ritual. If one of them is not present the ritual those not take place at all. Members of the family or the couple's friends are allowed to be present, but it is not a requirement.
