Summary
The Crystal spiders were restless that evening, no one inside the underground region of Ducruria knew what was up with them. But that there was something about to happen that was for sure. The Dwarves looked at the little creatures that were busy spinning the crystals. But not the normal crystals that were everywhere, no those crystals looked a lot like jewelry. Pendants, earnings and bracelets. The Dwarves have never seen them do that before.
The day after the spiders' restlessness, unmarried Dwarves started to find the pieces of jewelry inside their bedrooms. Not knowing what it meant, but still thankful for the beautiful gifts the dwarves started to wear them. It didn't take long before the true meaning of the gifts was made known. All over the underground area, people started to experience the strange appearance of crystal jewelry on their person. Jewelry that was not there before. They felt connected with the person who had the similar type of jewelry, and started to experience strange happenings. If a person shared the same type of jewelry with someone who was good in magic, they shared that ability even if they didn't have the talent for it before that. This people were now Crystal bound, and they stayed that way until the end of their days. Because if one of them dies the other dies with them.
Historical Basis
Dwarves are known for their fast archive and this story has happened. (Only the date is unreadable so that is why nobody knows when the event took place). The last reported Crystal Bound couple was in the year 1001 the same year that the nine kingdoms were formed. Nobody knows why the Crystal spiders did this in the first place. Maybe they felt the rage and anger that was the Era of War, and found a way to bring peace to their land underground. That would have explained why they stopped doing this.
Because the last Crystal Bound couple were bound to each other before the Kingdom of Ducruria was created. The happenings fall into the realm of myths and legends.
Resent development
Dragon Lady Dite the sister of the current Dragon King Alran have reported that a new couple has being reported. It involves a Werewolf named Kitty Howl and a Vampir named Jett Smoke.
