Waste to Abundance

In historic times, [CITY NAME] in [CURRENT REGION] was nearly destroyed by their enemy. Some of the people fled when they knew war was coming to their city while those who didn’t heed the warning through others thought is was just a rumour. The horror on their faces, as the paintings have captured, when they saw their city ransacked and pillaged. Many tried to flee but were either captured or killed. Children were either taken or eliminated depending on their age. While it is unclear why their city was torn to pieces, the conclusion is unanimous; their enemies were looking for a valuable crystal which the citizens had unbeknown to them. However, it is unclear if they had ever taken it.

Reconstructed Settlement

For generations the land was empty and unoccupied until it was being rebuilt again with better technology and better protection. This civilization began to use Ancient knowledge. They set up a wall surrounding the city, keeping everyone inside and safe from invading forces, either from Abominations or their enemies. They also set up watchmen in case part of their wall became weakened or by someone sneaking their way into the city undetected. Soon after rebuilding this city became a thriving place for business. Not because they had a lot of recourses, but due to their mine of specialized crystal. This type of rock is not found in any other known location in the world of Mara.   Their history has shown a greediness to the people outside of city folk, it’s a strange happening, but it’s why they do not allow tourists or visitors for the sake of their survival. They welcome the world by hiring their own writers and photo publishers to share their city. To this day, their city has grown into a fortress where invaders don’t dare challenge, at least so far.
