A Dark Sojourner's Path

Much like the Sojourners of Light, there are Sojourners of Darkness. These pilgrims each have their own traditions and/or rituals. This piece will cover the ventures of darkness.

History

There has only been on man to move up in society from both the Underverse and above ground in Miria. This man has become a legend from his deeds dedicated to the Crimson Dragon. Many try to follow in his footsteps.

Execution

Trinity Rites of Passage

• First, the Awakened make a pledge and vow of their alligence to the will of the Crimson Draon.

• Second, they undergo training and familiarize themselves with their new found gifts.

• Third is a test. To disrupt a Sojourner of Light's walk with the Bright One and prevent them from gaining their Radiant King's Armour. If they succeed, they move up in rank and also move up in the community residential areas.

Components and tools

Crimson Crystal

The Awakened are given a gift that resembles a smaller version of the statue of the Crimson Dragon. This is to act as a portal or doorway to lead them back home, should they become close to defeat in a battle against Sojourners of Light.

Participants

Ceremonies can take place frequently since the amount of awakenings that occur are random. Everyone takes part in the celebration for the recognition of the Awakened.
Once the community is present, the leaders from each district gather at the centre of Ebonshadow, under the Wither Tree and around the statue of the Crimson Dragon. Then the Awakened line up on a platform in front of the statue, so everyone may see them under the glow of moonlight and the dim lights from the Wither Tree. The Scarlet Crown is present, but not seen.

Observance

Each one takes note of the new birth date they have awakened on and look at the moon's phase in the centre of the Wither Tree. This will depend how much magic they have acquired. From then on the Awakened observe the new birth date as their Birthday to celebrate. This is to commemorate the ascention of the "Welcoming" from the day they were physically born.
