Spirit Magic Traffickers

Because Spirit Magic cannot be stolen from one another, there has to be a way to gather it for themselves. If one can “take” or “befriend” someone with preferably either strong spirit magic (honed) or pure spirit magic (child), they can manipulate the person into “helping” the one by having the other do the spirit magic workings and potentially deplete them. This results in death. This is one way, the other way is more popular by hunting for unsuspecting people and take them against their volition. This way they, as an organization, can collect as much spirit magic as they wish with very low risk, but only if they’re smart not to do so in broad daylight. Although there is the odd, courageously stupid, or just plain desperate to live and act on pure instinct that gets them into trouble.

History

The subtleties of how this profession began was through people they, the Spirit Traffickers, already knew. However, the risk of this was great, not only due to the relativeness of the people involved, but because this was the first time for Spirit Magic Experimentation on people became known. These victims died as a result of complete depletion of their Spirit Magic. Fairly quickly bodies were piling up from child to adult, mostly females as they are usually the easier targets - even to the current era. Then Dolion caught wind of this and created his own organization to help the Serpents gather and harvest Spirit Magic for their own gain.

Current

Today, this profession is known to be illegal and has been since history. However, it seems to be exempt from Elites, not publicly of course, but behind the scenes where bribes and trades from the Black Market are exchanged. The Law is clear, but are ignored by those who sit in high places.
