Celestial Night

There is a certain place surrounding the location of Waters Elv where there is an annual festival at night on water. This is where the people would gather together and watch a phenomenon in the sea where light is reflected and, seemingly, projected into the night's sky. These lights look like blue stars next to the white and bright stars in the sky, as if something or someone were giving them a message... perhaps? Since time rememberd when this began the children began saying "this is a treaure map!" It was often wondered if the children could see something the adults did not... but then again they have wild imaginations. Even to the point where they said they saw the face of a crowned lion watching over them.
The scene is set once the sun is fully resting and the moon is reflecting the sun's glory, where heaven is completely darkened and stars twinkle their brightest. The surface of the sea gives off a warm glow and tethers of blue light begin to form beside and around the white stars before the tethers of light break and the blue stars stay. To be able to best see this great pheonemena is to lay flat on one's back and look up from upon the heart of the sea.
And so, every year the Elva made it a night of searching for this famed "crowned lion". Sometimes someone would speak up and say "there he is! I see him!" But were met with jest and ridicule. As the years passed less and less people spoke up if they ever saw this face lit up in the night's canvas. Now it seems more people have turned this specticle into an act of worship of the stars.
Another strange pheomena is that the kelpies will also gather together and look up into the night as if seeing something there. Sometimes when riders aren't aware of the season, they will be swept away with them to look at this great sight or be forced off their backs. For some years now it is made great mention not to ride keplie during this time, and if you do, be aware of it.
