Tisran

The Keeper of the Forgotten

Tisran, also known as the Keeper of the Forgotten, is a minor deity worshipped mainly by the Crienia as a guardian of lost knowledge, secret memories and overlooked individuals.    It's said that Tisrna embodies the quiet spaces in mortal life, the dusty corners of libraries, or the unmarked graves on battlefields, an area where Tisran's domain overlaps with that of the Lady of the Dark.   They are often depicted as cloaked and hooded figure obscuring their face with an ever-shifting mist or veil of parchment, with words fading in and out constantly. Their hands are long and elegant, and they hold a delicate lantern that always glows with a bluish dim light.   They are rare, but temples dedicated to Tisran are often hidden within other structures, forgotten rooms or an alley that have been walled off and forgotten.   When someone prays to Tisran they leave a small written confession, regret or secret in a small clay pot which are then thrown into a fire while the person whispers a small prayer to Tisran.   Offering to Tisran are typically manuscripts or books in which words have faded over time or items that have a sentimental but the reason for it having been forgotten.   Among the Crienia people, Tisran is mostly seen as the deity for scholars, historians and archives, and the people believe that due to their long lifespan, they are particularly susceptible to forgetting things, making Tisran serve as a reminder of these things.

I love that temples dedicated to Tisran are often little rooms in other buildings. That's so poetic. <3
