Silentium

The Silentium is a peculiar relic that also goes under the name "Silent Oracle´s Amulet" It's a relic that is said to have first been created back during the times of the Ancient Empire, due to the intrigue and infighting that was coming in the higher circles of leadership in the empire it was needed for people to create areas where they could talk in complete secrecy so silentium was created, it can temporarily suppress sound within five meters, while the item dont prevent someone skilled in libreading to spy on the people within the suppressed zone, it does make it impossible for anyone to hear what's being said.
The Silentium was first created by an ancient arcade order believed to have fallen alongside the empire. For a long time, the knowledge to make these items was lost but expeditions to explore ancient ruins led a team of adventures to find the schematics for the item to be found in what is believed to be one of the orders' ancient headquarters.
From the outside, the Silentium looks like a regular high-end item for the nobility or rich merchants as it is fashioned from intricately woven silver and in the centre is what looks like an ordinary sapphire but is part of the Silentium that has been imbued with the magic.
Due to the abilities of the silentium, the secrets about its inner workings are kept top secret and its currently only the Empire of Dercia and the Principality of Clifia that possesses the items and know how to create more, the Empire due to it originally being found within its borders and the Principallity due to several of them being captured or looted during The war of Western expansion.
