Caurentia
Caurentia were brought into the Empire of Dercia after a series of brutal campaigns against the kingdoms in the region. One tribe, the Volcerni, did become famous for its guerilla tactics against the legions as their leader after having lost three major battles against the Crienia, had learned the hard way that there was no way for their soldiers to defeat the legions' discipline and experience. After the last resistance was defeated, the region were divided into administrative regions and each given a governor. Under the newly established rule, the region began to prosper, new roads were constructed and goods from the region and outside could now flow more easily than before and within a generation, many had accepted Crienia rule.
Culture
The region is home to the Caurenti among many other people, but as the Caurenti were the people that the Crienia had the most contact with, they started naming the region after the people on their maps and it soon spread and as the influence of the Crienia spread, their naming customs stuck and at some point, the people of the region started to refer to the land as the Caurentia. The native language of the region is Cauric all the different groups calling the region home speak a version of the language and they can typically understand each other. The language is still spoken in the region, especially in the rural areas while the larger cities and nobility have adopted Crienic as their language. Ever since the region became part of the Empire, a large amount of soldiers have come from this region as the Imperial army sees the people of this region as strong fighters.Politics and Governance
Caurentia is governed by a Praetor who are appointed by the Emperor and has their base in Nimbrathis. While the region has been part of the Empire for a long time and has, for the most part, accepted being ruled by Pearlhal, the local noble families still wield significant influence and sometimes act as intermediaries between the Crienia administrator and the locals.Military
Currently, the region is home to two legions, the 3rd and the 29th legion and despite the weather not being as nice as the region around Pearlhal, being posted to Caurentia is generally seen as an easy posting as the legions stationed there mostly just act as a policing force and the occasional construction job.Geography
Caurentia is located in the northwestern corner of the Empire. The landscape is full of grilling hills, deep dark forests, and sprawling river valleys. The region is bordered on its eastern side by a jagged coastline where the Caurentian Sea crashes against its rocky cliffs and sandy coves.
The central plains of the region are dominated by fertile farmland, which is fed by three major rivers: the Taris, Miranor, and Volcus. These three rivers converge into a vast estuary near the port city Nimbrathis.

Climate
The region experiences warm summers and wet cold winters.
Natural Resources
From this region, the Empire extracts plenty of timber, and huge numbers of game meat and the fertile fields produce enough grain and grapes to feed Pearlhal for around a month.
From the Northeastern hills, the mines produce fine-quality iron and tin. the southern part of the region is known for its fine quality wines, especially the Cau wine is a favoured trade good among the merchants.
I can see why they would accept the rule of the Empire if it brought prosperity to the region. I like that it is seen as an easy posting by the Legions. XD

Thank you :) Yeah, before the Empire (or technically the kingdom at that time) the people of the region would raid each other and lots of infighting, but with the Empire, the people can focus on their daily life. also: thanks for all the likes and comments, always look forwards to them :)
