Ashes of Penguin

The ashes of the fallen wizard known as Penguin are said to contain magical properties.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

 Due to the magical nature of the deceased wizard, coupled with the magic inherent in the flames used to cremate him, the ashes have the ability to take on a random property usually ascribed to various magical dusts. Depending on a variety of factors, including random things such as air temperature, which particle of dust, etc, the clump of greyish powder can be used to corrode non-ferrous metal, can be used to fly, can make someone disappear, and several other unspecified effects. 
It is always random exactly what will happen, and users should proceed with caution lest they destroy a weapon when their was to fly.

History

On 10 Uhr 1428, the wizard Penguin was killed by a swarm of spiders in the Castleport Library. The following day his body was cremated outside The Sterling Beaver in Castleport, as is the custom of his people. 
After the makeshift pyre had died down, the remainder of his adventuring party collected his ashes. Unbeknownst to them, they held one-time use magical properties.
