Yondarim
Yondarim is a habitable alpine world, notable for being the homeworld of the Yondar and the capital of the Kingdom of Yondarim. The planet is the third satellite of the B'Yond System, and has a single orbiting moon of its own. Yondarim has a very large number of active tectonic plates, resulting in a very rugged and mountainous surface. Typical peaks are sheer or extremely steep, resulting in a terrestrial biosphere adapted to climbing or flight. Fertile sediment often collects in warmer valleys, which is where the majority of flora - and by extension, agriculture - is. Liquid water is common throughout the planet, but due to cold temperatures, water bodies often have frozen surfaces away from the equator.
Yondar cities are traditionally constructed in a vertical manner, with workers in the valleys and the nobility occupying estates on the highest peaks. Industrial regions occupy rare plains, or are constructed inside of hollowed-out mountains. Aerial tramways are common, as while Yondar are capable of flight, they cannot carry much cargo a long distance. These tramways criss-cross the valleys, or descend diagonally into them for farmers.
Mining is the largest industry in the primary sector on Yondarim, followed by energy generation. Wind and geothermal power are common, while solar is rare. The main economic activity on Yondarim is services, catering to the expensive tastes of the noble and religious elite. The planet has the most places of worship of any world in the galaxy, almost all of which are dedicated to the worship of the God-Emperor of the Kingdom of Yondarim. The largest temple on Yondarim, and in the known galaxy (outside of the fallen empires) is the Citadel of Faith - an imposing kilometre-tall structure located in the capital city of the planet. From there, the God-Emperor delivers sermons that are broadcast across the Kingdom.
