Session 1: Quest for the Brightflame

General Summary

The party sent off from Plumcrest on their first adventure to retrieve the brightflame, a everburning flame in the heart of Tomb of the Brightflame. The party sent off in the early evening and was ambushed by a group of illusionary orcs created as a test by Veil Shroud for the new party. They defeated the orcs and continued on into the night. They found a safe campsite for the night, but were stalked by a group of hungry wolves who were easily dispatched by the vigilant party. The next morning the party arrived at the shore line of the Bay of Serpents where they found the corpse of a human who had been mysteriously killed by an unknown creature. After finding some loot on the unfortunate soul, the party continued on to the tomb. The group found entrance of the crypt at the bottom of a valley as it started to rain. After some graceful (for most) acrobatics, they arrived safely at the bottom and discovered a grisly scene. Several dead horses and an ancient human skeleton layed in front of the door. The party surveyed the scene and after deterimining it was safe enough to camp, they spent the night in a makeshift lean-to betwen the tomb's door and a tent canvas. Sleeping peacefully despite the bellowing storm and the ominous scene.
