Duergar

The Duergar are a savage race of subterranean Dwarves, once known for their brutal violence and subjugation of Underdeep denizens. Warped by their lust for riches, these people reigned supreme over The Underdeep for hundreds of years until they were all but wiped out by the arrival of the Dark Elves. Since then, the Duergar have made themselves a relatively stable wild card within their Underdeep communities. Still heavily persuaded for their love of gold and violence, they make excellent mercenaries and craftsmen.
