Morenuil

Morenuil is an elder Dark Elf, one who has seen the Conjunction of Realms and has watched the mutation of his kin afterwards. He is most notably known for putting the sword to the savage Duergar, tempering their ambitions for dominance over the Underdeep. This did not come from a philanthopic root however. Morenuil believes the Dark Elves to be superior to not only the Duergar, but to all of the elder races. Using his grasp of ancient magic gifted to him during the Conjunction, Morenuil desires above all to rule the Underdeep. After harvesting the power of the dark arts atop Darkmount, he has raised an army of thralls to his whim. Those of this world, and others, follow his orders blindly with reverence and fear. His first accomplishment was the sacking of Umbra, a devastating blow to the Free Peoples of The Underdeep. The Free Peoples sustained another loss when Nomur Rembrandt led a warband to take back the city from Morenuil, which led to disastrous failure. This sudden change of aggression and power sparks some debate on whether he has received aid of the infernal type or not.
