Saint Tren Berziel
Mirafalor was born as Tren Berziel in the year 809 AC in Panan's Landing. His story is a complicated one. Mirafalor is living proof that the gods above have influence over the material plane. At a young age, Tren's parents began to notice strange things about him. He seemed to have an innate ability to calm those around him. Tren was known for being able to resolve conflicts without the use of words. As Tren grew into his teenage years, a local priest took notice of him. Tren had asked the local church for help. He had been having strange dreams in which a ghostly white figure had reached out to him, asking for him to perform various vague tasks. Tren had become scared of such visions, and had been staying awake for long periods of time. Bishop Sostire Liongem approached Tren, asking that he confide in her. She and Tren became quite close over the years that would follow. As Sostire explained Tren's visions to him, the pair came to learn about one another. Their relationship became a romantic one, despite Sostire being nearly 20 years his elder.
Word of Tren's visions reached Genneyonne, where the Church of Genneyonne had been recruiting for Pelor's Light, an organization of paladins, clerics, and religious warriors. Among the members of Pelor's Light was a man named Strath. Strath had similar visions as a child, and believed that Tren may possess a special ability (one that he too, had harnessed). Tren, looking to gain more knowledge of his powers, travelled to the city to meet Strath. Pelor's Light obscures the details of their training regimen, so the record of what followed has been lost (or rather, not found). Regardless, Tren came out of training having unlocked a unique power. He was discovered to be a protector aasimar, and was given a new name: Mirafalor.
Mirafalor's training proved useful. He quickly rose through the ranks of Pelor's Light. As his connection to the divine increased, so did his suspicion of the organization that trained him. He investigated further and found their methods to be immoral. In 831, Mirafalor walked the steps of the Church of Genneyonne, sword in hand. He entered the office of Strath and without saying a word, killed him where he stood. From then on, Mirafalor took charge of Pelor's Light. He rebranded it as an organization for good, "as Pelor intended".
Mirafalor aligned himself with the armies of Rhorellia soon after the Halian War began. He lead his paladin army into battle, while the clerics attended to the wounded. He became a legend after his valiant defense of Graford. After the dust cleared, a local bladesmith crafted him a specialty weapon. The smith, a dwarf named Hjonmel, was well known for creating a specialty weapon known as a Blackblade, and notable for being picky with his clients. Mirafalor was the first client Hjonmel had chosen in 15 years. He made Mirafalor "Faithkeeper", a fine longsword that Mirafalor wielded for years to come.
In 852, Mirafalor met his end in the Battle of Dris O'grel by the hands of Baksaei, a fallen aasimar warrior that Halis himself had championed to be Mirafalor's rival. Mirafalor's body was taken to rest at a lake near Idenmount. The lake was later named for him, and several monuments were erected in his honor.
Mirafalor's story doesn't end there. Several years later, he was once more sighted by the people of Rhorellia. He traveled the Merriby Islands, performing deeds at the whim of the gods.
After 1232, Mirafalor went missing. He was not spotted again until it was discovered that Sojiro, head of the Ki Shaar, had captured him and turned him to stone as a part of an ancient ritual. He remained in the Temple of the Wingless until the Outcasts arrived, freeing him from his petrification.
