Session 28: The Chase Report

General Summary

The PC's waited for the return of Radomir Schlenk, who had disappeared WITH the tablets they had allowed him to investigate.
During that time, Nephi was informed that his room at the temple had been broken OUT of. The clockwork beetle that the PC's had defeated and recovered in the bowels of the Witchkeep appears to have reconstituted itself and broke out of his chambers.
Acolytes at the temple advised Nephi that what emerged from his chamber appeared more like a clockwork dog, and had injured some of the acolytes. This led to Nephi being concerned that the creature might be attempting to harm Liraset, and he decided she must be warned.
Nephi had messages sent to the Hedgehog, as well as the Brotherhood of Alchemists and the Arcane Collegium so that Teldur, Tor, Kay-Zon and Keryth would be notified.
He then ran to Liraset's townhome, where Sir Sigmar Markovic, who had taken up a position to guard Liraset agreed to have Nephi move Liraset to the Temple of Rava, where the steam sentinals at the front entranceway would potentially offer more protection.
At the same time, Tor found that Radomir Schlenk returned to the Hedgehog with Radek Klima (Mercenary warrior), and Dmitri Pollak (Cleric of Perun). When Tor confronted him on his absence, he explained that he had been tracking down a lead from the tablets, and had had success. He asked Tor to get Nephi and the others, and return in the evening.
On leaving the Hedgehog, Tor encountered a clockwork dog, which frightened other people walking by.
On meeting up with each other, the PC's decided to try and hunt down the the Clockwork Hound, and found it had travelled to the Temple of Rava, then to Liraset's townhome, then back to the Temple of Rava. It became apparent that it may not have actually been hunting Liraset when they encountered it in an alley...
