History
Ramos and Casimir grew up close, but Ramos always had a head for numbers, whereas Casimir was much less interested in such topics.
They grew apart in adulthood, when Ramos took a contract with a merchant who needed a bookkeeper, and Casimir remained behind, after meeting his wife.
Relationship Reasoning
They are both interested in seeing Nephi succeed and have opportunities outside of Morgau.
History
Ramos knew that Casimir wanted his son out of Morgau, where his life would always be at risk due to the shroud eaters.
Casimir arranged for Ramos to take Nephi from Morgau, to be trained in Zobeck.
Nephi spent his teen years helping Ramos on some of his trading expeditions, until Casimir realized how bright the boy was, and that he would learn more with a religious order.
It was Ramos who provided the money to help place Nephi with the Church of Rava.
Ramos has thought that Nephi had been killed in the night of fires in Zobeck in 1739. When the Leander Heph and his band attacked the PC's outside the Seven Bells, a fire was set, and in that fire, two of Leander's Kariv mercenaries were slain. Because the PC's departed Zobeck immediately in order to escape retribution from the Cloven Nine, the body was mistaken as that of Nephi.
Three months later, Ramos ran into Nephi in Bundhausen, as Nephi was trying to find a way back to Zobeck. He was ecstatic at finding his nephew still alive, and brought him and his friends back to Zobeck aboard the Drake, captained by Thorgard.
Nicknames & Petnames
Ramos calls Nephi "my boy".
History
Ramos and Captain Thorgard have only been working together for the last two years. Captain Thorgard met him in Zobeck, when he traveled there seeking a merchant who could provide a source of good lumber to the dwarves. Ramos has been bringing lumber from Doresh, which in turn he's been trading for finished metal goods he trades in Zobeck.
Nicknames & Petnames
Captain Thorgard simply calls him "Ramos".
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Captain Thorgard is one of a few dwarves busy procuring lumber in order to prepare for the manufacture of a new airship for the Ironcrags.
History
Auldus and Ramos are not friends so much as friendly competitors. They don't hate each other, but neither would have a compunction about getting the better of the other in a business deal.
