The main Great Defense

The Defense Border is where the all-encompassing strength of Humans, Alfar, and Vampires is showing its true self. It is the wall that surrounds the lost - but not in-reclaimable - landmasses of the Outer Wasteland. But the wall is not waterproof, so to speak, and some forces of the Eärann Horde brake through. Luckily, between them and civilization lies Defense Territory.

In perpetual, strategic retreat

Unfortunatly, the Defense Border is in a state of retreat and has been for several decades now. Several outposts located within the Outer Wasteland have been claimed by the Eärann Horde, with only Outpost Anchor-Zero as the one that has been reclaimed, thanks to the workings of the Primordial Elementals.

Crevices the defenses:

As mentioned previously, the Defense Border is not waterproof and a portion of the Eärann Horde is steadily and continually leaking through cracks and crevices, but between them and civilization lies Defense Territory.. And if so is allowed and possible, some of the Defense Borders' forces can always attack the otherworldly invaders in their back.

Geography

Most of the Defense Border is located in snowy mountain areas and cold windy plains. Early work, however, was done to transform some regions into plains, but it was terminated prematurely in a majority of locations.

Underground:

As with Defense Territory - for obvious reasons - most of the infrastructure is built underground. Each outpost is interconnected via a subway network, which for safety reasons is mined and rigged with explosives if an outpost where to - or rather when - be seized by the Eärann's Horde.
