This augmentation allows one to detect infrared radiation up to 400 meters in optimal conditions.
At close enough range – 20 meters in optimal conditions – it can detect infrared radiation through 2 decimeter thick walls or other construction, provided that the material in question is not Level 7 in Heat Resistance.
