House of Clouds and Arrows
The House of Clouds and Arrows is the smallest and least politically powerful of the great clans. They are focused on combat and heroism. In the early days of Xarlaca, the house came to prominence by protecting the nascent settlement from monsters and dangers, as well as sending out brave explorers to learn about the surrounding countryside. They gained a well-founded reputation as a house of heroes. However, in recent years, the importance of the house has waned. With the island fully explored and its dangers understood, there’s little need for vigilant protection. Plus, many of its most heroic members leave each generation, seeking adventure or great deeds far from their home in Xarlaca, rarely returning. Over time, they’ve begun to be seen as less relevant to ruling the town in this modern, more settled time.
