Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Agavinos prosper in the same habitats as the agave plants from which they're derived: semi-arid and arid climates. They're susceptible to Water and Shadow damage. Domesticated to protect settlements and agricultural lands, they are often found at the boundaries of agricultural lands and near desert way stations. They don't do as well without regular communication, so Agavinos in less-traveled areas are usually planted in sets of three or more so they can keep each other company.

Biological Cycle

Agavinos are typically created from ordinary agaves early in their maturation, infusing the plants with intelligence, mobility, and their metallic needles. However, a few specialized gardeners have managed to develop agavinos that breed true. Younglings bud from the basal stem, below the lowest leaves.
