Pillargate
The Meridian Pillargate was recently constructed as part of a joint effort between The Magocracy of Evrand and The Grand Empire of Adreon. Constructed of magically enhanced metal alloys, the Pillargate reaches up to the Thermosphere and allows much faster and more reliable moving of material and vessels off-planet. The Pillargate uses a Fluct Ice chain connected to a massive lift used to transport Aedracraft to space. Transport from the ground level up to the Pillargate Docks takes roughly 2 hours.
During the extensive construction, Starbound City was founded in the area around it to house workers and their families.
Architecture
From the ground, the Pillargate begins very wide but narrows rapidly into a spire. At the top of the spire, in the Thermosphere, a platform extends outward, forming a space dock.
