Croc

One of the surviving members of a reclusive druid cult that lived in the Kossenwoods before the Starvation. Croc, like his two companions, assumed a twisted form reminiscent of his favored wildshape when he became his mask.   Croc is the most relaxed of the Three Hunters, though his love for practical jokes can spur him to reckless action. Unfortunately for most travelers, what passes for a "practical joke" in Croc's mind is practically lethal in most cases. Though not as loud and boisterous as Hound, Croc is just as quick with insults and derives compulsive pleasure from watching people get frightened.   One of Croc's favorite things to do is something that the natural animal he is imitating did instinctively: he can often be found pretending to be a log in thick brush or shallow water. He finds it amusing to snap off an unguarded extremity and watch as his prey struggles to escape.

Physical Description

Body Features

At first glance, Croc looks more like the natural form of his wildshape than his two companions. This is largely because his human portions are on the underside of his belly and he spends most of his time crouched in brush or floating in the water. Only when he rears upright does it become obvious that this is not a normal - albeit very large - crocodile.   Croc possesses both human and crocodilian appendages. His human arms and legs are monstrously strong, fully capable of hefting the weight of his bestial bulk.

Special abilities

Formerly a druid, Croc is one of the few creatures left on Maverot that can tolerate the nightmarish corruption that accompanies the working of natural magics. Though he can no longer change his shape via wildshaping, Croc hardly misses it. His new form is precisely to his liking.

Specialized Equipment

Due to the amount of time he spends submerged in water, Croc carries very little on him. Additionally, his posture makes weapon use generally impractical, so he almost never wields weapons of any kind.   Along the banks of the rivers and marshes Croc claims as his territory in The Bone Forest, he constructs small shrines made of bones and dried flesh. He piles various other trophies around these shrines as he obtains them, creating a new shrine whenever he feels his current one is overcrowded.
