Hound

One of the surviving members of a reclusive druid cult that lived in the Kossenwoods before the Starvation. Hound, like her two companions, assumed a twisted form reminiscent of her favored wildshape when she became her mask.   Hound is the most vocal of the Three Hunters and most likely to harass travelers near the woods' edge. She is loud, quick to anger, and cruel, though she can be calmed easily with praise. Sufficient flattery has earned safe passage for many who have strayed to close to the woods and caught her attention. She will also respect any who best her in combat, though no one who claims to have done such a thing is ever willing to offer any proof.   Hound has an intensely inimical relationship with Jones for reasons only known between the two.

Physical Description

Body Features

Hound has the head of a dog which appears long and angular, possessing large, upright, pointed ears. Incongruous human hair falls down around the base of the skull and upper neck like a mane and is often braided. Her torso is that of an athletic human female. At the neck and waist her body transitions abruptly into that of a dog, as though she were caught midway during her wildshaping. Her lower body is the quadrupedal form of a muscular hunting hound with a slender, pointed tail.

Facial Features

Hound accentuates her elongated features with paints made from ground up herbs found in the forest.

Special abilities

Formerly a druid, Hound is one of the few creatures left on Maverot that can tolerate the nightmarish corruption that accompanies the working of natural magics. Though she can no longer change her shape via wildshaping, Hound hardly misses it. Her new form is precisely to her liking.

Specialized Equipment

Hound always carries her enormous longbow, capable of shooting arrows that can skewer three men in a line or fell a riding boar easily. On a few leather belts slung about her shoulders rests a quiver, a pair of skinning knives, and various spell components to fuel her corrupted magics. Blood-soaked bags strapped to her hindquarters hold furs, skins, bones, and other trophies from her hunts.
