Coalition of Worlds
The Coalition of Worlds, or the Coalition, was a federal republic of numerous planetary governments that joined together for mutual benefit in terms of military support, diplomacy and trade. This led to closer ties where member worlds shared knowledge and resources for scientific, exploration and defensive purposes.
The High Guard was the Coalitions exploration and defensive arm.
Structure
Following older models of government, the Coalition was divided into the following principal divisions:
- The Coalition Council
- Office of the Prime Ministry
- Interplanar Court of Justice
- High Guard Command
- Economic and Trade Council
Public Agenda
The Coalition sought to create a body, an organization, to promote the social progress and improvement of all species across the Worldspace. To teach tolerance and live together in peace with each other, finding strength and enlightenment through infinite diversity in all its infinite combinations.
Disbandment
At the end of the Final War, the Coalition wasn't so much disbanded as it collapsed.
At the same moment the bulk of the Dark Horde's fleet was trapped behind the Tesseract Gate at Hyperion Gate Station by a powerful planar binding enchantment, the Killjoy - leader of the Dark Horde - was assassinated. Before he died, Killjoy's activated his "Dead Man's Switch" and a long prepared spell came to life.
Using an Interplanetary Teleport enchantment enhanced by dark matter, the spell targeted all active Tesseract Drive and Tesseract Gate devices - the backbone of travel and communication across the Worldspace - with a timed discharge grenade. Nearly all Tesseract technology discharged their bound multi-dimensional planar energy at once.
With 99 percent of the Coalition's ability to communicate and travel removed, the Coalition itself collapsed.
