Itu is a god of the Ziela pantheon. Itu, alongside Ija make up the "Themeli" or "Foundation" of the universe by controlling physical space, giving form and substance to matter. 
Itu is said to have been the second of the gods to awaken, following Ija's own awakening and mastery of time. Itu's appearance brought forth space as a meaningful concept, allowing him to gain mastery over it and in so doing make matter and form possible. With his mastery of space, Itu brought Ija to himself where they could lay the foundations for the universe as it exists today.
With time and space brought to heel before the two divines, the beings christened themselves the "Themeli" and allowed the other gods to spring forth from this foundation. These other gods would go on to create the other aspects of the universe from the stars to the world to mortal life, all the while Ija and Itu would remain as the immovable foundations of creation.
