History

Chalumsanism dates back at least as far as the rise of the Amun Dynasty and likely far earlier, though it it impossible to know for sure due to the loss of historical records. It is known that the Amun were large proponents of the forceful conversion of the peasantry to Chalumsanism and it is now practiced by nearly every person in the empire. It is theorized that the Amun were responsible for the elements of the faith that emphasize loyalty and obedience to authority since it seems detached from the other tenants of the faith.

Tenets of Faith

Chalumsanism is characterized by adherence to what is called "The Ten Righteous Ways."    
  1. Righteous Thought

    Righteous thought is concerned with keeping one's thoughts pure and free of hatred or desire. It is associated with the top of the head.
  2. Righteous Company

    Righteous company is concerned with maintaining healthy and supportive relationships, not allowing others to negatively influence you. It is associated with the ears.
  3. Righteous Speech

    Righteous speech is concerned with keeping one's speech pure and free of curses or insult. Speech is to be used only to improve others and oneself. It is associated with the tongue.
  4. Righteous Intent

    Righteous intent is concerned with one's intentions and loyalty. Doing a good thing for the wrong reason will bring corruption to the soul but even poor deeds with good intent will see their reward. It is associated with the heart.
  5. Righteous Conviction

    Righteous convictions is concerned with loyalty and desire to serve one's masters. It is associated with the right hand.
  6. Righteous Deeds

    Righteous deeds is concerned with acts of charity, selflessness, and heroism. It is associated with the left hand.
  7. Righteous Balance

    Righteous balance is concerned with maintaining a healthy balance in one's life, not allowing anything to occupy more time than it ought to. It is associated with the shoulders.
  8. Righteous Diet

    Righteous Diet is concerned with what one consumes, whether food, drink, entertainment, or otherwise. It stresses the importance of ensuring that one takes care to feed themselves with only beneficial things. It is associated with the stomach.
  9. Righteous Discipline

    Righteous Discipline is concerned with enduring hardships and suffering without giving in to despair. It is associated with the base of the spine.
  10. Righteous Journey

    Righteous Journey is concerned with ensuring that one makes progress on their goals. It is associated with the feet.
