Asimapa

"The Northwestern valley is perhaps the most fertile region on the continent, or perhaps the native plants are simply well suited to the climate."~The Explorer's Handbook
Asimapa, or "The great western river [land]" is a river valley in northwestern Kedizlim and is home to lush subtropical forests and rolling green hills but is largely unsettled due to a combination of deadly diseases, wildlife, and territorial native tribes.

Fauna & Flora

Flora

Asimapa is home to a large variety of unique plant species ranging from herbs to brush to trees. The region is largely forested with the exception of the outer edges of the valley which are characterized by their rolling green hills.

Fauna

The Fauna of Asimapa is considered some of the most dangerous in the world. Mountain lions, bears, and wolves are all numerous in the region and are known for their willingness to attack humans and elves. Travelers to the region will even claim that the predators of Asimapa are more intelligent than their cousins found elsewhere in the world. Despite this, the most dangerous animals of the region are mosquitoes, which carry several bloodborne illnesses not found elsewhere.

Natural Resources

Asimapa is one of the most heavily forested regions in Kedizlim with a seemingly limitless supply of timber available for anyone willing to brave the disease and wildlife of the region. Beyond this, the region is famed for its native Milkroot, a widely sought after herb that has unique cleansing properties. Many also believe that the region holds mineral wealth but there have yet to be any successful geological surveys of the area.
