Hisberia
Hisberia, the most populous nation in Marsedon. It has a rich history, vibrant centres of art and culture, and a diverse and metropolitan population. It is composed of five states, from the forested and hardy Glahlir in the west to the barren wasteland of Sinsyroxoa in the east, and one autonomous territory, Ataca. As a whole, Hisberians love good food, sun, big families, and feel a deep pride in their nation. Much of the architecture is built with terracotta or adobe brick, except on the outskirts of Glahlir and Salagro, where stone and wood are more common respectively. The national plant of Hisberia is the olive tree.
Structure
Hisberia is ruled by a monarch who delegates authority of the states to marquis, counties within the states to counts, and principalities within the counties to barons.
History
Hisberia has, since its inception, been the most powerful nation in Marsedon. Shortly after most of the various tribes of the area were united by Barelius in 210 AS, Hisberia fought in the First Great War against its neighbour and eternal rival, Neoparia. In 811 AS, King Marius granted indepnedence to the state of Deruv for its valiant efforts in the Third Great War with Neoparia.
