Totengraber
Totengraber used to be called Grabfüller, back when rather than digging graves he would fill them up. He was mighty and savage. It was the best of times.
But some 12 years ago, as he approached an Orc's middle age, he was betrayed. He, who had been protecting the small hamlet whose name he can now barely remember, was set upon by a mob rejecting his request for a new wife, after the death of the one they had supplied some six years earlier. He took an arrow to the knee and had to flee.
He limped for months until arriving here, where the overworked gravedigger had died. The order in charge of the cemetery accepted his offer to work. For some ten years now he has been tending to the death, assisting the executioner when one was needed and called upon, and salvaging from the imprudent and prideful who tried to 'take it with them' to the grave.
He has contacts with some bandits that roam the area and help him move the best loot and sometimes he even joins them in jobs father from this village.
But he is looking for a stronger group, even if he must somehow learn to mimic the more socially accepted kind of people that roam in the still desolated world.
One day he was hired by Bertrand - a knight's squire - to journey to Riesenhain - the village where his kin still dwelt. After arriving at the village, he was baptized in order to be able to enter a mystically protectd church, and adopted Bertrand as his new Gaalite name.
