Ingrid Kiev
Ingrid had a fairly simple childhood. Born and raised in Einhorn, she played with the local children and was fairly healthy. She had deeply religious and loving parents, named Galahad and Vivien, who did their best to keep her safe and educate her on the word of God. From a young age she was enthralled by fairytales and stories, especially those of heroic knights whom would always triumph over evil. She heard tales from her father of a group of legendary paladins that have inspired her throughout her life.
However, her parents were worrisome and over-protective of their only daughter as Ingrid's younger brother had died before he was born.
When Ingrid was still small, before her teen years, her father was accused of thievery. Galahad never committed this crime, and the family knew this, but he was executed anyway. Authorities showed no sympathy nor consideration. They did not take action to catch the perpetrator and even now Ingrid is clueless as to who accused her father and why. Ingrid still remembers the complete disregard the men who came unto their land and took her father from their home to be executed. The last thing her father said to Ingrid was "everything will be alright."
After his death, her mother was overwhelmed with grief and bitterness. Soon afterwards she died of illness, leaving Ingrid to become an orphan. Shortly after this, she was mysteriously approached by a knight, who opened her eyes to her calling. This pursuit took her to the city of Rotz auf den Wunsch, whose ruler had put out a call for competent warriors to assemble. Ingrid came to seek her fortune. Instead, she met a band of travelers dedicated to restoring justice and fighting to turn back the tide of the Plague, so she joined them without quesiton.
With the memory of the unjust deaths of her parents still fresh in her mind, since the day of her recruitment Ingrid vowed to uphold justice. She swore that she would never stand by in the face of evil like those men on that tragic and fateful day. Today, she is a proud warrior, and she holds close her honor and love of her parents and comrades to serve and protect those who cannot protect themselves. She pursues the complete truth behind the mysteries of her order and hopes one day to be recognized as a respected member.
Ingrid is a tall female figure donned in heavy, silver plate armor. Dark red feathered collar with a matching cape, torn short. Red feathered helmet, never taken off her person (unless directly ordered by a person of higher standing). Armor is covered in scuffs and scratches. Under her helmet she is a beautiful woman in her late 20s. Light skin and large golden brown eyes. Long light brown hair that curls past her waist when let down. Covered in battle scars with a perpetual serious expression. Tall, muscular body shape.
