Winter Rose Temple
The Winter Rose Temple is one of the seven smaller altar temples in Gardinya Lyra, each to one of the sacred flowers. It is located in the Butterfly Garden Neighborhood District near St. Lyra's Library. Each of the seven temples is constructed in the same way, more like open-air pavilions with arches and columns instead of walls, with a large central altar where services are performed in a theater in the round style. Each temple in the city has dedicated prayer services on their own day of the week (the sacred seven carries out to weekdays too). The Winter Rose Temple's service day is day 5, and four prayer masses are held - at sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset. Prayer masses tend to last between 10 to 15 minutes depending on how many blessings need to be made that particular day. The public is not necessarily meant to come to every prayer mass at every temple, but most people have picked one or two to attend weekly, feeling that that is the best way to secure the blessing of the gods.
The head priestess at the temple is Delle Brahm, and there are seven acolytes working underneath her serving the temple. The Winter Rose Temple has a special place of importance in the town because of it's close location to St. Lyra's Library; as it is believed this library is a gift from the gods, and worshiping at the temple is thanking them for that gift.
