Búri

Buri

Búri is a ancestor of all the Æsir gods. Búri was licked free from salty rime stones by the primeval cow Auðumbla over the course of three days. Búri's background beyond this point is unattested, but with the Jötunn Brydja he fathered the son Borr, father of Óðinn, God of Knowledge.
