Wadecook Pass

Wadecook Pass is the only direct connection between the Chich Empire and the Orms Empire. Getting any sort of vehicle through the pass is nigh impossible, and many refuse to even bring horses through the crossing, as they can rarely be ridden and the chances of injury are high. Although not a thoroughfare, the rising tensions between Betleland and its neighbors have led to an increased use of the pass. As the last sizable town before Wadecook Pass, Nosbury often serves as a supplier and resting spot for those utilizing the pass.

Localized Phenomena

Those that take this rugged pass often report seeing silhouettes through the driving snow. Almost all those who live nearby have some version of a story of travelers seeing one of their companions in the distance, and someone going to retrieve them. Only for the original member to turn up claiming to have never gone in that direction, and the rescuer never being seen again.
