Anatomy

Winter tear bells take a part of their name and shape from the Winter Bell parents. However, it is possible to reckognise the difference by looking inside the bells, as the Lacrima contains small frozen solid tendrils which makes it unique.

Genetics and Reproduction

Being a mutation of the original, winter bells usually don't polleniate. Their unique way to spread out is by being eaten and being put on fertile ground once their consumer (mostly herbivores) release their fecal matters. Most of the time, boreal geckos relieves themselves on the best places for winter bells to spread around.

Growth Rate & Stages

Winter tear bells follows the exact same growth as their parent specie, except that they can reach dormancy when temperature rises past the point of congelation, as their resistance to temperate climate is bigger due to their fey nature.

Ecology and Habitats

Most are found in boreal/arctic valleys, but are mostly found in proximity of settlements (less than 10 miles) as their nature makes them conneced to humanoid. Forests are usually their place of preference as the wind risks less to destroy them as compared to plains.
