Queen Tapu'awa Character in Manarchy | World Anvil

Queen Tapu'awa

Reigning Queen of the Pelagos Tapu'awa

While the High Guards were rather imposing but their size and rugged shell covering their limbs, it was rather mundane compared to the grandeur of their Queen. Towering the coral-crafted halls of the underwater temple of Waharoa, she also felt like something more: contrary to her kin, she had a more developped beak that could break bones and long appendices protuding on the back of her head. But she didn't looked like an abomination, and more like a curious and impressive testament of marine evolution with colors that would outshine the brightest couture of the east.

Morality & Philosophy

Tapu'awa is rather conservative and traditionalist: As the main decision maker of the blooming race, she rather double-check and be weary of expanding the territory, preferring to solidify their acquired lands and continue on keeping their scope small, focusing on understanding their surrounding enough and learn from it.   Because of this, she have regular disagreements with her captain of the guard, Taarua as he prefers a more expansive approach, for reasons he also believes goes for the greater good.
