Qualifications

-Having served on a known military order, religious or not, for a minimum of 15 years. A official paper signed by the ruler the applicant reported to must be included as proof.

Requirements

The applicant must have no 'otherwordly influence' in it's heritage that could jeopardise his duty. This includes spawn of devils, demons, natural lycanthropes and similar ancestries, but also souls attuned to said otherworldy forces, like an ancestor having offered a part of their lineage to the other party.

Duties

The Pontifex Imperi is the highest rank of the religious order regarding military interests. As such, they are responsible of the troop's management, ensure a wise and efficient use of personnel against their many ennemies, and, when necessary, intervene directly on the battlefield. The Pontifex Imperi is considered the most ruthless agent of the Church, and is usually sent when Mercy is no more an option. By their relentlessness and their valor, they are motivating beacons for their armies and the civilians they swore to protect from corruption.

Responsibilities

-Officialise any demand of reinforcement, deployment and action that the Council of the Lance voted, or veto and change the demands as they seem wise. -Defend the Pontifex Circle if danger occurs -Participate actively on the battlefield where their presence would be necessary, usually on Dominus-Rank missions or Crusades -Evaluate the members of the Council of the Lance and offer insight when need be

Accoutrements & Equipment

All Pontifex wears the Pontiff's Veil, a magic head piece meant to de-individualise the title owner as more of a symbol than a person.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

As other Pontifex, the entire Pontifex Council, along with (title) must agree unanimously to dismiss a member.
