Composition
Manpower
The amount varies from around one to five, depending on the Warlock's political influence and bargains with other higher ranks of the Jaggis.
Upon death of one or numerous guards, a new one can be assigned which may or may not have received a long-term indoctrination ritual. However, those changes are limited and numerous losses may result in the Jaggi Attributor deeming the warlock unfit to allow defence ressources anymore. As such, it is not uncommon to see Mesmer Warlocks under constant attacks and losing their elite guards to lose support and eventually be more open to assassination attempts.
Equipment
Member of this formation wears a permanent face tatoo which represent the nobility crest of the Warlock they work for. They are also adorned with jewelry and other luxury items as they are part of the Warlock's frequent followers and must show the regal aspect of them. This often includes ornaments on near the face, shoulder,wrists and chest.
Weaponry
The weaponry varies from each individuals as they attune to one or two weapons they feel the most comfortable to fight with but that went through a magecraft process to enchant them. A blood ritual is usually done to attune the weapon even more to it's predicated owner, so other people try to use it will either not be able to use the magic properties, or straight up being cursed upon touch. If a guard dies on the line of duty and the mesmer can recuperate the weapon, it will be magically reattuned for future replacer. The process can take some months in such circumstances.
Vehicles
Each member gets a war-trained mount which varies upon the region's accessible domesticated beasts. Saurian mounts were a favored choice in tropical regions.
Training
Most Jaggi undergoes the same training regimen at a young age, but the most promising recruits can be hand-picked by Mesmer Warlocks when the hiring of such guards occurs. When chosen, the warriors undergoes a 3 year long indoctrination therapy with drug-induced meditative incense, magic warding and other rituals. This is made to safeguard the mesmer's control on them as they could be turning against him either by self-interest or lost of control (from bloodrage, for example).
Logistics
Upkeep
The cost of maintenance is covered by the warlock himself or his/her family's. Most of the elite guards is offered similar luxuries for high nobility.
Recruitment
Outside of martial capacities, a common element when recruiting such guards is usually a low level of bloodrage manifestations, as those can counteracts the procedures to come. Depending on the local' customs, the role may be limited to only males and devoid of mutations such as Saurian Degeneracy Syndrome.
History
Historical loyalties
Most Onyx scales members became either working for warlock mesmers still after major events that occured after The void's glimpse, or became masterless and went to take their own piece of dominion outside of other races' dominated regions, usually in really small groups of exiled serpentfolks. For those that remained under service of their original master, the title became less and less of importance since the social structure drastically changed once the race went close to extinction, losing the social dominion. And thus, they are mostly wearing less regal equipment over time and focus solely on their martial task.
