Fredrick's Odd and Occult

There is no place in Enigma where you will find the occult more prominent than in Fredrick's Odd and Occult. While many of the inhabitants of the town do not necessarily believe in the occult they are exposed to it in this small business. Fredrick believes that he is allowed to openly practice his ways and sell his wares because the Town Council does not want to hide the truth fully; if they were to attempt to hide it fully then people would start asking more questions.

Purpose / Function

To provide occult goods and materials to those in Enigma who want to purchase it.

Architecture

A small brick building that is painted black entirely. It stands out on the street due to this.

History

Fredrick Proctor came to Enigma in the year 1986 and decided to open a shop once he saw how little was known about the occult in a town that was so tied to it. At first he found that it was difficult for him to get the permits to open his business. Buying the building had been easy enough but when it came time to open the store; he was blocked by the town council.
They do not want the occult to be practiced in Enigma but decided that it would be better to not deny it all together. After a year of fighting with the council he was finally able to open his store; but they did put strict limits on the wares and spells he could offer.

Tourism

The store is not as popular as Fredrick would want; he finds that most people in Enigma try to deny the occult. He does know that there are those in the town that do practice and he makes a modest living off of them. There are also those from other towns who come to buy things from him due to connections that he holds.
